This is the best SingStar in ages. Really. There's barely a bum note in all 29 tracks. [Nov 2006, p.87]

This is SingStar Dad Rock with a few newer songs thrown in for when the kids want a go. It's SingStar for men - men who like This Charming Man by The Smiths and aren't
ashamed about admitting to really liking the Pet Shop Boys back catalogue - especially the 1988 Christmas number one Always on my Mind.

If you have all the SingStar PS2 games at home and you’re a fan of the series then this game has to be in your game collection - but as always, don’t expect anything other than 30 new songs. The list of SingStar games on the PS2 is getting longer and longer but it’s starting to get old in terms of visuals and technical limitations. Still, it remains one of the most interesting franchises out there, especially with cool compilations like this one.

Another great Singstar, but we want some new genre-specific titles, please. [Dec 2006, p.94]

On one hand, SingStar owners will love the new tracks but will hate the fact that there are absolutely no new features to be had – so we’re looking at a five or six out of ten. For gamers who haven’t played SingStar and don’t own the game, we’re looking at an eight or a nine. I fall into the former category, and I’m pretty sure that most people will too.
