The greatest, funniest, most creative TV show I've ever watched, bar none. Arrested Development transcends the confines of television and into the realm of creative genius. The storylines are impossibly intricate, the characters are perfectly envisioned and portrayed, the humor is layers deep, and the show constantly references itself in progressively funnier ways. It's a testament to the creative potential in television and more people should support this show.

One of the most brilliant shows ever made. Be sure to keep your head with it though, you easily miss a pun or a joke. And also watch the show at least two times to experience how good this series really are.

This show does not deserve anything lower than 9.The critics loved it, the viewers loved it more- that's enough to prove the brilliance of this show.I hope the movie next year does it justice. Avery C, if you thought taking out the thesaurus out to make your comment seem smart or relevant, you're extremely misunderstood.I bet you didn't even watch it.Critics would never rate an show that isn't "intelligent" so highly.Metacrtic takes multiple scores to further prove the more accurate overall score.

I've watched the entirety of the series three times, and I always catch something new every time. This show requires you to be cognitively conscious of what's happening on-screen at all times, no matter the situation. This is one of those shows that you can't just walk away from for even five minutes and hope to fully understand the proceeding jokes. In this light I can see why the show had a hard time acquiring new fans, as people who came into the show in the middle of season two wouldn't have the same kind of experience as those who were with the show from the very beginning. However, I am seeing more and more people being exposed to the show, and Arrested Development has easily earned its cult status. Now, bring on the AD movie! Also: Avery C, go be elitist somewhere where people actually give a damn (good luck on that search, by the way).

Hmmm... Avery C and your repeated Oscar Wilde references, and then your ending of "AD is a show for people who can't get laid , who suck at sports, and who aren't smart enough to get Oscar Wilde" makes me believe you are a bigger closet homosexual than Tobias Funke.

Best show of all time. It was hilarious from start to finish. The storylines were genius. I miss this show dearly, and am impatiently awaiting the movie.

The funniest sit-com ever created and a show that ended way too early. Every character has some bizarre and humorous issue that persists to be explored at their expense. Every episode was fresh and funny. A previous poster, James J, you said AD was a decent show but then gave it a ZERO rating. How does "decent" translate into a zero you trollriffic moron?!?
