This 13-episode set of the resurrected fourth season finds Seth MacFarlane still pushing the comedic envelope very, very hard, and this collection is as consistently hilarious as it is daring.

MacFarlane proclaims these new shows to be "the best we've done." A bold claim, but often enough, one is laughing too hard to prove otherwise.

Even if they're not all gems, the majority of the episodes here are classic. And fans will be pleased to know that many of the jokes which were cut from television broadcast are restored here.

The show picked up right where it left off. If anything I think it's improved, certainly in the animation.

Why is it that anyone has trouble understanding why anyone would not like the crude and the boorish. People have been brainwashed for so long by defining deviancy down in popular culture they are incapable of rational judgement about good taste. The most embarassing example of this is the statement that its for adults. If your were really an adult on a psychological and emotional level then your disgusted by the graphic, the salacious, the vulgar and the purient, not amused by it.
Lukas W. gave it a10:
Ah. Family Guy, perfection on TV. I never understood why it gets so much hate, but the only logical reason I could come up with is that people are still stuck in their juvenile Simpsons phase. Family Guy never cease to amaze me with its witty and random lines, the only true comedy show these days, putting shows like SImpsons, King of the Hill, Cheers and Seinfeld to shame. I eagerly await the coming episodes every day. I find it the show getting better and better for every season, I absolutely love every episode in the latest one.
Mad House gave it an8:
Its a pretty good Show, It makes me smile. I could watch the re-runs all day long lol. It does lose a couple points because Its not really that funny, its really all inside humor, Id laugh out load at it every once in a while but its very rare but the comedy is still very Rich. The Comedy is very Hit & Miss to the point that when I do laugh it kinda shocks me. This kind of comedy is really fitting with America's overall taste in humor. I do love how Outrageous, Stupid & Slightly unpredictable, & clever it is. The relationships with the Great Characters are really what make the show Spontaneous & worth the watch, not necessarily the jokes itself. This show is full of life, 8 stars.

Really funny, except that there's a big, fat, ugly problem: it's too liberal and it thinks it's clever. Why does it have to interrupt all the good parts to shamelessly mock the socially conservative viewers? People don't watch it to hear political statements, they watch it because it's funny! Geez, what a slap in the face! One minute you'll be laughing like crazy and then it would jump in with "ABORTION RULEZ!!" and ruin the whole thing. Also, it seems to try too hard to parody stuff, and I doubt anyone gives a poop about the musical segments. It's a nice show until it's interrupted by it's gimmicky moments.
Aron E gave it a3:
Absolute trite. I cannot possibly express my disdain for the incoherent drivel it has become any better than the more elaborate commentators have. The characters have lost every bit of depth and wit they used to have and so have the jokes. It's so obvious they're no longer even trying to be funny, it's like it's undergone a devolution into a parody of itself. I'm only giving it three points because I respect the show it used to be.
Leonard M gave it a0:
Ridiculous show with ridiculously talentless writers. I'm embarassed to work for a network that airs this garbage.
Scott C gave it a2:
Honesty...what's so funny about a man simply trying to pick up a dead frog with a shoebox for two whole minutes? And the running gag where they cut to a Conway Twitty song? It's filler that indicates the writers can't come up with 22 minutes of decent material. There are a few laugh-out-loud moments maybe once every 2 or 3 episodes, but this is the most overrated show of the past decade.
